Our most powerful offering
Never underestimate the simple power of your presence. It fills a space far greater than your flesh.
For example, if you find yourself walking into your empty home, ask yourself why do you immediately sense you are the only one home?
Consider the idea which we are spiritual beings. More spiritual than physical. Our flesh and bones are temporary, yet our souls are eternal.
When I am at home, I regularly sense the presence of my wife and children. I walk in the door and immediately ask, “where is Isaac?” There is something inside which senses he is not in the house. Why do I feel the love and affection from my wife as she sits in silence next to me? Why can I feel her contempt when I have offended her?
We communicate without words.
So goes the presence of the Lord. I know I can become more aware of the presence of God who never leaves us followers of Jesus.
Here is the amazing part, simply being there for someone might be the most powerful thing we have to offer our loved ones. It is one of the most powerful things the Father offers us.
